The US labor market was stronger than economists\u2019 expectations, with 147,000 new jobs added in June. The unemployment rate dropped to 4.1% compared to 4.2% in May\u2019s report, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n

Government employment increased by 73,000 jobs last month, mostly from state government and education jobs. However, there was a loss of 7,000 jobs in the federal government.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Healthcare added 39,000 new jobs, while leisure and hospitality gained 20,000 new roles in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professional and business services saw losses of 7,000 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
