During\njob interviews, recruiters pay special attention to certain keywords and\nphrases that show you have the knowledge of the position and confidence that would make you a perfect fit.  You need the\nability to effectively communicate to the recruiter your superior skill set to\nensure that you have the competitive advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can do this is by slipping in a few specific phrases into your job interview. With that in mind, we have compiled some phrases and keywords for you to keep in mind during your  next interview.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initiative:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Let the\nhiring manager know about projects that you took the \u201cinitiative\u201d on.  Be ready to discuss the results of that\n\u201cinitiative.\u201d Hiring managers like hiring people that they don\u2019t have to\nmicromanage and tell what to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

When you use\nthe word \u201cwe\u201d you are telling the hiring manager that you are already envisioning\nyourself on their team.  It also uses a\nbit of the \u201cpower of suggestion\u201d by putting yourself as a \u201cwe\u201d in your\nconversation.  You may even notice the\nhiring manager use the word after you use it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plan:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Let the\nhiring manager know that you have a \u201cplan\u201d in mind for being successful in the\nposition.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Willingness to Learn:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Being adaptable and open to learning new methods is\nconsidered an asset by employers.  Reference industry articles about current and\nemerging trends. As well as,  as your\n\u201cwillingness to learn\u201d from mentors and classes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motivated<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Let the\ninterviewer know that you have a desire to excel and that you are a highly\n\u201cmotivated\u201d person.   Discuss how your motivation helped you in past\npositions and how you are confident that it will help you in your new role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Excited<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

When you tell the interviewer that you are “excited”\nabout the position, they hear that you are motivated and won’t take the job for\ngranted. “Excited” says, “I really want the job and will do my\nbest when I get it.” Employers desire optimistic employees. Excitement\ndemonstrates your optimism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ask Questions in Job Interviews:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Asking questions is important in any interview because it\nshows the interviewer that you are taking your career seriously. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
