Forcing them to stagnate will only make them consider going elsewhere to get the opportunities that they desperately want. We are only human, after all. When they make a mistake (even costly ones), try to make it a positive learning experience for them and the rest of the team. Constantly making your employees terrified to make a mistake will only lead to tension within the workplace.
